In the initial coverage phase, after you pay the deductible, you'll pay a copay or coinsurance depending on the drug tier and pharmacy. For example, preferred generic drugs have a $4.00 copay at preferred pharmacies. After your total drug costs reach $2000.00, you enter the catastrophic coverage phase where you pay nothing for covered drugs.
