Prescription drugs are not covered by AARP Medicare Advantage Patriot No Rx ID-MA01 (HMO-POS).
The AARP Medicare Advantage Patriot No Rx ID-MA01 (HMO-POS) plan offers a range of benefits with varying costs. For inpatient hospital stays, you'll pay a $535 copay for the first few days, but nothing after that. Many services have no copay, including primary care visits, preventive services like annual physicals, eye exams, and dental cleanings. The plan covers services like outpatient care, emergency services, and hearing and vision care. You can expect copays for services like ambulance, specialist visits, and diagnostic tests. Outpatient Services are covered by the AARP Medicare Advantage Patriot No Rx ID-MA01 (HMO-POS) plan, including all outpatient hospital services. Outpatient hospital services have a copay of $0.00 - $535.00, observation services have a copay of $535.00, and ambulatory surgical center (ASC) services have no copay. Outpatient blood services and individual sessions for outpatient substance abuse have no copay, while group sessions for outpatient substance abuse have a copay of $15.00.
Partial Hospitalization is covered under the AARP Medicare Advantage Patriot No Rx ID-MA01 (HMO-POS) plan. You will pay a $55 copay for this benefit.
Ambulance and Transportation Services are covered by the AARP Medicare Advantage Patriot No Rx ID-MA01 (HMO-POS) plan, with no coinsurance for any ambulance services. Ground and Air Ambulance Services have a copay of $290.00. Transportation Services to any health-related location are not covered.

Routine chiropractic care is not covered.
Preventive services are covered, including an annual physical exam with no copay. Additional preventive services, including fitness benefits, remote access technologies, and home and bathroom safety devices and modifications are covered with a $0 copay. Other services like health education, in-home safety assessments, and counseling services are not covered.
Hearing Services includes coverage for hearing exams with no copay, routine hearing exams with no copay, and OTC hearing aids with a copay between $99 and $829. Prescription hearing aids are partially covered, with no coverage for inner ear, outer ear, or over the ear prescriptions. Fitting/evaluation for hearing aids are not covered.
Vision services include eye exams, eyewear, and contact lenses. Eye exams have no copay, and routine eye exams are covered once per year. Eyewear has no copay, with a combined maximum benefit of $300 every two years, but eyeglasses (lenses and frames) and upgrades are not covered. Contact lenses have no copay and are unlimited.
The AARP Medicare Advantage Patriot No Rx ID-MA01 (HMO-POS) plan covers dental services including oral exams, dental x-rays, other diagnostic services, cleaning, fluoride treatments, and other preventive services with no copay. Medicare dental services have a 20% coinsurance, and restorative, endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery services have no copay. Prosthodontics (removable and fixed) have a 0%-50% coinsurance. The plan does not cover implant services or orthodontics.
Home Infusion bundled Services are covered, with prior authorization required. For Medicare Part B Insulin Drugs, there is a $35 copay and the coinsurance is between 0% and 20%. For Medicare Part B Chemotherapy/Radiation Drugs and Other Medicare Part B Drugs, the coinsurance is between 0% and 20%.
Dialysis Services are covered under the AARP Medicare Advantage Patriot No Rx ID-MA01 (HMO-POS) plan, but require prior authorization. You will pay 20% coinsurance for these services.
Medical Equipment benefits include Durable Medical Equipment (DME) with 20% coinsurance and Prosthetics/Medical Supplies with 20% coinsurance, but Durable Medical Equipment for use outside the home is not covered. Diabetic Equipment is also covered, with details about the cost sharing.
Diagnostic and Radiological Services include coverage for all diagnostic services with a $50 copay for diagnostic procedures/tests, and lab services with no copay. Diagnostic Radiological Services have a copay of at most $225, Therapeutic Radiological Services have a coinsurance of at least 20%, and Outpatient X-Ray Services have a $25 copay.
Home Health Services are covered by the AARP Medicare Advantage Patriot No Rx ID-MA01 (HMO-POS) plan with no copay and no coinsurance. Additional Hours of Care and Personal Care Services are not covered.
Cardiac Rehabilitation Services are covered, but the plan does not cover any specific services. Prior authorization is required.
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) services are covered by the AARP Medicare Advantage Patriot No Rx ID-MA01 (HMO-POS) plan, but require prior authorization. You will have no copay for days 1-20, and a $203 copay for days 21-100.
Other Services for the AARP Medicare Advantage Patriot No Rx ID-MA01 (HMO-POS) plan includes Over-the-Counter (OTC) Items and Meal Benefit coverage. OTC Items have no copay, and the Meal Benefit has no copay and requires prior authorization.
